Patrick van Aanholt’s last-gasp winner gave Crystal Palace a memorable 2-1 victory at Manchester United.

The Eagles left-back drove in a 93rd-minute winner to give Palace their first league triumph at Old Trafford since 1989.

Palace stunned the hosts by going in front against the run of play on 32 minutes when Jordan Ayew latched onto Jeffrey Schlupp’s flick-on from Vicente Guaita’s long punt to neatly finish.

Marcus Rashford then missed a penalty for United in the second half after Luka Milivojevic brought down Scott McTominay.

Daniel James looked to have snatched an 89th-minute equaliser for United with a curling effort from the edge of the box into the top corner.

But four minutes later, Van Aanholt raced from the halfway line, exchanged passes with Wilfried Zaha and fired beyond keeper David de Gea at his near post.
