Crystal Palace threw away two points in a 1-1 draw at home to 10-man Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Despite having an extra-man advantage for the last 20 minutes, they failed to make it count as Wolves snatched a stoppage-time equaliser.

The visitors had the best chance of the first half with Matt Doherty forcing a flying save from Palace stopper Vicente Guaita.

Seconds after the restart, Palace took the lead after Joel Ward’s shot deflected off Leander Dendoncker and into his own net.

Romain Saiss was sent off in the 73rd minute after getting a second yellow card for tugging back Wilfried Zaha.

Substitute Christian Benteke should have killed the game off but he fluffed a golden chance from eight yards. And in stoppage time, Jeffrey Schlupp somehow failed to beat keeper Rui Patricio in a one-on-one.

And in the fifth minute of time added-on, Adama Traore’s cross from the right was poked home from Jota at the far post after Ward slipped.
