Palace to appeal Milivojevic’s red card against Derby

Crystal Palace are to appeal Luka Milivojevic’s red card in the FA Cup defeat to Derby County.

Milivojevic was sent off by referee Michael Oliver after he used a pitchside monitor – for the first time in English football – to view a clash between the Serb and Tom Huddlestone.

The Eagles were trailing 1-0 and were unable to get back in the game with a man down against the Championship outfit.

Palace have provided four previous examples of similar incidents involving Anwar El Ghazi, Kyle Walker, Moussa Sissoko and Harry Kane which did not result in red cards.

MIlivojevic is set for a three-match ban for violent conduct and miss Palace’s fixtures against Arsenal, Man City and Southampton.
