Report: Eagles are looking at Colombian forward

Rafael Santos Borré

Crystal Palace are tracking Colombian striker Rafael Santos Borré.

The 24-year-old has banged in 13 goals in 21 games for Argentine club River Plate this season.

According to outlet AS, Palace would have to stump up a €30m release clause to acquire his services.

Atletico Madrid own of 50 per cent of the forward, so the Eagles would have to negotiate directly with the Spanish giants to get the price down.

La Liga rivals Celta Vigo had a failed attempt to land the star who won the first of two Colombia caps last year.

Borré started his career at his native Deportivo Cali before heading to Europe for Atletico Madrid on a six-year deal in 2015.

He immediately went back on loan to Deportivo Cali and then Villarreal before making a permanent switch to River Plate three years ago.
