Report: Giroud joins Morelos on Palace’s January striker list

Olivier Giroud

Crystal Palace are considering a move for Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.

Palace are eager to add to their front line as Jordan Ayew is their only real attacking threat.

The Sun reports that manager Roy Hodgson sees the 33-year-old Giroud as the man to solve Palace’s scoring problems.

Giroud has not featured for Chelsea since August and fallen behind Tammy Abraham in the pecking order.

The Frenchman’s contract is up next summer, so the Blues could let him go for a fee in January.

Meanwhile, Palace are moving in on a deal to sign Rangers front man Alfredo Morelos, says the Daily Star.

Morelos was watched by Eagles sporting director Dougie Freedman on Sunday when he scored in a 1-1 draw with Hearts.

Aston Villa are also looking at the 23-year-old who has scored 62 goals in 110 games for Rangers. Though the Colombian hot head was sent off five times last season.
