Crystal Palace are looking to sign Dundee United winger Scott Banks in January.
Palace have been tracking the 18-year-old for months, according to a report in The Sun.
Banks has been dropped from the Dundee side as he refuses to sign a new contract which expires in the summer.
The Eagles will look to pay a nominal fee for the Scottish U19 international, who has made just four appearances this term.
Banks had a successful loan with Clyde during the second half of last season, scoring one goal in 15 games.
He is one of a number of exciting young players at The Tangerines who are desperate to tie them to long contracts.
