Crystal Palace are lining up another bid for CSKA Moscow striker Fedor Chalov.

The Eagles reportedly had a €23million offer turned down by the Russian club in the summer.

Palace are in desperate need of a front man with Jordan Ayew their only option due to Connor Wickham’s injuries and Christian Benteke poor form.

Chalov’s agent told Championat that Palace boss Roy Hodgson is keen on another attempt at signing the 21-year-old Chalov.

“I talked with Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson about Chalov,” he said. “He really likes the player. I don’t want to exclude the possibility that Crystal Palace will make another move for him next summer.”

Chalov scored 17 goals in 37 games for his local club last season and netted four times from 13 matches this term.

Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, Tottenham, Bayern Munich, Dortmund and Sevilla have previously been linked with the star.
