Report: Palace watching young West Brom defender

Nathan Ferguson

Crystal Palace have reportedly been keeping tabs on West Bromwich Albion defender Nathan Ferguson.

The Eagles are still looking for a replacement for Aaron Wan-Bissaka who made a £50m switch to Manchester United in the summer.

Ferguson, 18, could fit the bill having played in every game this season and impressed at both right-back and left-back.

According to the Birmingham Mail, Palace sporting director Dougie Freedman has been watching him at the Hawthorns.

The England U20 international, who came up through the ranks at the Baggies, is also at home in the centre of defence.

West Brom are eager to tie Ferguson down to a long-term contract to ward off any suitors.
