Tottenham and Aston Villa are both interested in taking Crystal Palace front man Christian Benteke in a loan deal.
According to Belgian media outlet DH, Benteke is set to leave in the winter transfer window after Palace brought in Cenk Tosun from Everton.
Tottenham are in need of a striker with Harry Kane likely to be out for the rest of the season, while Villa’s Wesley Moraes is also sidelined.
Bordeaux are reportedly no longer keen on bringing Benteke on loan for the rest of the season.
Sport Witness says that a €500,000 loan fee plus Benteke’s wages was regarded “too high” for the French club.
Palace have ended their interest in £8.5m-rated Genk striker Mbwana Samatta, reports the Evening Standard.
The London-based outlet adds that Nottingham Forest have enquired about signing Eagles forward Connor Wickham, while Sheffield Wednesday would like to take him on loan.
