Crystal Palace left-back Pape Souare has signed for French side ESTAC Troyes on a free.

The Senegalese defender failed to agree terms on a new deal after his contract expired at the end of the season.

He has now moved to the Ligue 2 side after completing a successful trial where he has signed a one-year deal with the option for a further year.

Souare made an amazing recovery from a near career-ending car accident in September 2016 where he broke his thigh and jaw.

He was unable to regain his place back in the Eagles line-up but is glad to be able to playing regular football again.

“Thank God finally I’ve got what I deserved after a very long time…. New Team New Challenge Let us all spark and shine,” he said on his Instagram account.
