Crystal Palace snatched a late equaliser to draw 1-1 away at Norwich City.
Striker Connor Wickham leapt off the bench late on to grab the equaliser and his first league goal since November 2016.
Todd Cantwell had given Norwich the ideal start by combining with Emiliano Buendia inside the area to score after just four minutes.
The Canaries failed to build on that advantage with Palace keeper Vicente Guaita pushing out an effort from Buendia. Then Kenny McLean’s angled shot struck the underside of Guaita’s crossbar.
Five minutes from time, Wickham struck an important leveller for his injury-hit side, who lost defender Mamadou Sakho at the interval.
Wickham put away Wilfried Zaha’s cross from close range but it did not initially count as the linesman flagged for offside. However, a VAR check concluded that Wickham was marginally onside and referee Jon Moss awarded the goal.
Palace went in search of a winner but would be pleased with a point due to having with many players on the sidelines.
