Watch: Palace manager Hodgson on the season re-starting and new signings

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has targeted a top-10 finish if the Premier League season resumes.

Reports suggest the league will restart in June with games played at neutral grounds behind closed doors due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Palace currently lie in 11th place and Hodgson says the team will be aiming for the upper end of the table.

Hodgson added he is looking to boost his ageing squad with younger talent for the new 2020/21 campaign.

“We’ve set a very good platform now,” he told The Football Show. “We have a very strong base with lots of good players.

“But if we could find a way to add a few more younger ones to that squad, a few new faces, that would inject some new blood while keeping the nucleus of the squad then I’d be very confident next season of improving on the results of the last two and three seasons.

“I’ve been very pleased with this season, in fact I’ve been very pleased with all three seasons. I’ve got a very good group of players – a very experienced group of players.”
