Report: Palace are still courting Milan forward Borini

Fabio Borini

Crystal Palace are still interested in bringing AC Milan attacker Fabio Borini to Selhurst Park.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Palace are “continuing the courting” of the player and are ready to swoop in January.

Milan would likely want a small fee for Borini rather than lose him for nothing when his contract expires in June.

The 28-year-old is currently out of favour, with his last appearance coming as a substitute in August for Milan’s 1-0 win over Brescia.

He’s netted four times from 51 league appearances at the San Siro and is no longer in manager Stefano Pioli’s plans.

Borini scored 17 goals in 93 appearances over two spells for Sunderland before his transfer to Milan in 2017.

And he knows the Premier League well, having also played for Chelsea, Swansea and Liverpool.
