Reports: Carrasco deal still on; Van Aanholt, Kirby could go

Yannick Carrasco

Crystal Palace are still hopeful of signing Belgian international winger Yannick Carrasco.

The 26-year-old, who has scored 17 goals this season, wants to quit Chinese Super League club Dalian Yifang and return to Europe.

According to The Athletic’s Dominic Fifield, negotiations are ongoing but they have been met with complications.

Dalian Yifang could favour a permanent transfer instead of a loan and that might be out of Palace’s price range.

Fifield also adds: “The agent who has done previous contracts for the player is currently on bail in Monaco.”

In other transfer news, Palace want PSV to increase their initial offer of €7m for Patrick van Aanholt to €10m.

According to Voetbal International, the Dutch club have cash to spend with Steven Bergwijn due to sign for Tottenham and Van Aanholt says he “really wants to go”.

Fleetwood Town want to take midfielder Nya Kirby on loan for the rest of the season, reports journalist Alan Nixon.
